Balsam Mountain Press is a small publishing company established in 2010 in the mountains of western North Carolina in the small town of Mars Hill in Madison County the “Jewel of the Blue Ridge”. The area has a rich heritage and history of hardworking self-reliant god fearing families.
Madison County is located 15 miles north of Asheville on the North Carolina/Tennessee border in the Smoky Mountains of Appalachia. There are many attractions in our 452 square mile area, of which 73 percent is forest. Mars Hill College, French Broad River and the Appalachia Trail are just a few of the wonderful “Jewels” of the County. If you ever have a chance to visit, it will be worth your while.
Balsam Mountain Press is proud to announce the release of Today’s Knight by author Tory Stephen. Today’s Knight: A husband’s journey with his wife as they both discover the path to healing from her childhood sexual abuse. The author, Tory Stephen describes in somber detail and at other time’s, comical perspective, his experience of wading through the almost insurmountable challenges that his wife has faced on a daily basis and how they have overcome those challenges to both become better people.
